The story

Why HEIDI on Tour exists

During the first wave of the pandemic, when all races were cancelled, Michael “Heidi” Wichmann and Thomas Steinicke ran their own long routes along Berlin's waters. That is where the idea for the Heidi-Challenge was born. Heidi died suddenly and unexpectedly. In his honour, the first Heidi-Challenge took place in 2024 – and it grew into HEIDI on Tour.
