Would you like a look behind the scenes of a stage race? Then join our volunteer team and experience the fascination of such an event first-hand.
As a rule you have a clearly defined area of responsibility that we agree on together in advance. Sometimes unforeseen events call for a little flexibility and spontaneity – on both sides.
Where we need support
The scope varies from event to event.
- Truck driver: drive our 7.49-tonne truck and bring equipment safely from stage to stage.
- Breakfast team: make sure our runners start the day with a good breakfast.
- Aid stations: look after the aid stations on the course and keep the runners supplied.
- Shopping: buy drinks and food for the event.
- Timing: help with timekeeping in the finish area.
- Route marking: help mark the route when needed.
Some tasks overlap. We’d love a team that also coordinates among itself.
Tip: if you help out while accompanying a participant, you get better terms on the companion organisation fee. We’re happy to discuss the type and extent of your help with you individually.
Expense allowance
It matters to us that our volunteer team receives an expense allowance at every event.

€5.00 per day. We cover fuel costs from arrival to your journey home (within Germany). |

€15.00 per day. We cover fuel costs from arrival to your journey home (within Germany). We can only offer electricity and water to a limited extent. |
